If you have specific questions that are not answered below, please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
What will my camper be doing at Camp Covenant? Check out our activities and sample schedule here.
What is expected of my camper? While at Camp Covenant, your camper is expected to follow camp rules: respect their leaders, respect each other, respect the space. How will my camper fit in with such a wide age range of campers? As soon as your camper arrives on Monday morning, they are put into an age-specific cabin group. In order to best meet our campers' needs and ensure they are having fun, directors and activity specialists tailor every activity to suit each age group.
What should my camper bring? Your camper will need a bag, bathing suit and towel for pool activities. A hat, bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended. We strongly encourage, but do not necessarily require, all campers to wear closed-toe shoes except at the pool. If your camper might need a change of clothes during the day, feel free to pack that as well.
My camper has special needs. Can they still come to camp? We welcome all campers that meet camp requirements to attend Camp Covenant! Please call or email to discuss any special needs or information that our staff may need to know in order to best accommodate your camper!
What if my camper can't swim? Every camper will take a swim test monitored by our lifeguard the first time their cabin group goes to the pool. If your camper doesn't know how to swim but you are comfortable with them being in the pool, please pack floaties and notify administration so we can make sure they bring them each time their group goes swimming. If you are not comfortable with your camper being in the pool, they will participate in another cabin group's activity.
Is lunch provided? A light breakfast, hot lunch and an afternoon snack is provided every day. We are a nut-free facility but if your camper has any dietary restrictions or allergies, please notify administration. Gluten free, vegetarian or vegan campers need to bring their own lunch, though they are welcome to eat only the foods that are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan from the provided meal. Please keep in mind that we are unable to accommodate them beyond this option. For our menu, please click here.
Can I pack my camper's lunch? You are always welcome to pack your camper's lunch, but for the safety of all campers we do ask that packed lunches be nut-free. If you send your camper with lunch, please notify administration so we can ensure the lunch gets eaten.
Tell me more about your staff. Our staff go through an in-depth application and interview process and complete a rigorous three-day training that includes CPR and AED certification prior to the start of camp.
How do we go about paying our balance? Your camper's nonrefundable deposit ($25 per week) is due by March 1 to reserve their spot. You are welcome to pay the total balance before the summer starts; otherwise, weekly payments are due each week on the Monday that your camper comes to camp. We accept cash, money orders, and checks -made out to "Covenant Presbyterian Church" with "Camper's Name + Reason of Payment" on the memo line. What should I do if the week I want to register my camper for is full? Complete the online registration and select the correlating waitlist week. The waitlist does not fill up and when a spot opens up in that week of camp, those on the waitlist will be contacted on a first-come first-serve basis.
